after 4 days of commuting back and forth to the uscwm in p.asadena, i feel like i've been trying to drink from a fire hose. i attended a catalyst training which in a nutshell was an intensive 4-day inductive study of several books in the new testament. we were attempting to regain and re-examine the Biblical principles for the basic philosophy of ministry: WHY & HOW we do what we do - both in our local chrches and abroad. the best part of it was probably looking through entire books (chunks) instead of focusing on one or two verses (crumbs). an approach that actually embraces the concept that the Bible is our life manual. eye/heart-OPENING.
a very rich experience which leaves me excited and hungrier.
Lord, thank you for the time and the ppl you continue to provide. thank you for opening my eyes a bit more even from the short time there. thank you for even the messiness of ministry, the frustrations, and even my own inadequacies. thank you for the peace in knowing that YOU who began the work in and even thru me will be faithful to see it through until the day you return. it really is all about you.
and the only other words i can utter at the moment: Lord, help.
